Partners HealthCare Invests $80M in Artificial Intelligence

Two new investment funds have been created to support pre-clinical life sciences, AI, and digital tech development.

The $80 million investment will go towards Partner researcher’s inventions in drug development and technologies.

The funding will be directed towards advancing therapeutics to late-stage pilots and support the adoption of digital solutions for healthcare orgs. and patients. The interesting point in this investment is that scientists and clinicians will be in charge rather than VC investors, potentially allowing for a better and more informed appropriation of funds.
